Rimworld being the usual response just goes to show how unique and crazy Kenshi really is though. I guess Rimworld could be like Kenshi if someone played JUST to build bases? In Kenshi you can just live as a loner out in the Wilds and do nothing. To my understanding, in Rimworld you have to build a base and micro-manage a bunch of people. I never understand the Rimworld comparisons, maybe it's because it's usually never explained and just simply answered in comments, but I looked at gameplay footage and don't see how they're really similar at all except a few things. enjoy what we have, i guess, or get big into modding we might be here for a while lol many of these long form development games (i think of them as 'millennium projects') have taken actual decades to come to fruition, and i don't imagine their successors will happen much faster. Nothing else comes to mind, unfortunately. it's a very strange game, all menus really, but very survival oriented very 'cerebral' as I understand it its lineage traces back to wasteland, the precourser to the original fallout games, so if you like them you might like NEO. hell, while i'm at it i may as well mention NEO-scavenger. you could also try CDDA for that matter- but it's very much a rouge-like sandbox, not a kenshi sandbox (rouge here meaning the ascii dungeon game) If you enjoy rimworld you could take the plunge and try dwarf fortress (although with the steam release just around the bend, you could also wait until that drops). Project zomboid has been mentioned, great game, but much more about stuff in your inventory (and zombie gameplay, also) than the vibes I'd have to dig through my notes to tell you why, but during my first pass at a kenshi review script i was convinced morrowind was the closest We expect our users to be familiar with and adhere Reddit's official Content Policy and the Reddiquette. If the mod breaks the respective site's rules don't forget to report it on the site, too! ![]() Kenshi mods and similar user content must be linked from Steam or Nexus.Failing to follow this may end with your submission being deleted.
